I consider myself a “Tech” coach meaning, I am focused on fundamentals and technique. I am of the opinion that when there are issues with movement, you should take the athlete back to basics in order to give them a more solid foundation upon which to build their higher level skills ( not all athletes relish the idea of going back to basics when they are trying to master high level movements, but in most cases, the time spent on the basics pay back in ways beyond the original quest). I am often trying out new movement patterns, new ways to approach common issues with athlete movement, and blending aspects of all of my previous athletic lives to learn the best ways to help my athletes move better.

Athletic Background

I am a lifelong gym rat. Started running and lifting in 6th grade & have been at it in some form ever since. Like most people, I have dabbled in many competitive sports throughout my formative years (Football, Track, Cross Country, Gymnastics, Cheerleading, Acrobatics, Motorcycle Road Racing), then settled into a life on the road for work. After a decade of seeing 49 of the 50 states, I decided it was time to get back to being in the gym so, I found CrossFit (thanks Living Social!).. 6 years later, and now I am one.
